I understand that an STC exists to eliminate the automatic gear extension system on a 1976 PA32 300R. Anyone have details as to how it works, how to get it, how difficult the installation is and cost?

Thanks

Hi, I have searched the FAA website under PA-32R-300 and found no STC's on the landing gear. There are STC listings for for the 301 and RT models which I did not check. If you wish to search further on the FAA site, the link is
rgl.faa.gov/Regulatory_and_Guidance_Libr...inFrame?OpenFrameSet

Best of luck!

There's a Service Bulletin that covers the Back-up landing gear - SB 866A. I've tried to attach it here, but for some reason that's not working. I will add it to the site and post a link.

Hi Pete,
Click here to access the SB from the site. Under the list of affected models, you'll see a link to download the SB.

I'll also email you a copy.
