Had an opportunity to move my plane around yesterday with the NDE-24. Not pleased! The wheel hugging set-up was awkward, and not easy to use! Adjusted the available set up to fit as suggested, but way too much effort to move plane. The EZ was still in my hangar, thank goodness! Good news: I called Dragger and the rep was VERY helpful in arranging the return. No problems. They will cover return charges.
I searched a bit and returned to a Powertow product, the ST-1 Supertow I. It utilizes a "turn table" set up to cradle the nose wheel for ease of movement. A little pricier than the Dragger, but less than the Dragger upgrade unit you chose. I also prefer no cable or winches to "load" the nose wheel.
I expect delivery of the Powertow unit by weeks end and will provide further info.

Hi and thanks for the update. It's not like you can go to Walmart and try one out before you buy it. I'm glad you're progressing, however, although I wish it wasn't so much effort. Let us know how you make out.

I was fortunate to have the return policy. Good company! Have the Dragger zip-tied to the palate, ready for return. Looking forward to the "new arrival". Optimism springs eternal! Ha ha

Received my SuperTow I, by PowerTow Company. In a large "crate", extremely safe packing! Instructions not fully clear/accurate. A minimal amount of mechanical knowledge helpful for proper assembly. EXTREMELY sturdy construction, appears as if it could be on a commercial ramp! A few photos included in this post. Took the tow for a "test drive" around my hangar. Large/heavy unit but is very maneuverable. My Saratoga is in annual, so no plane to tug! Hopefully out of annual this week so I can obtain some real experience with the SuperTow I.
