Hey Chris,
I suggest you try a salvage yard. The ones that support Piper Flyer are Wenworth, and Preferred Airparts. Both of these companies have a return policy.
You might find one on eBay but you have to be careful; only buy off eBay if the seller lists a return policy.
Good luck.

Thanks Francis, I'm going to stick with strobes since that's what's in the plane now. If I can't find a grimes or whelen that will work, I'll switch to LEds ;)

I have a tail rotating beacon, if that's ever of interest.

Hi Steve,

Thanks, but I need the one for the top of the tail. I do not have a rotating beacon on the '60, just strobes.

Hi Chris;
I have a Grimes D7080-1-12. It came off the top of the fuselage on my 1960 Comanche.
It's 12 volt. It worked fine when I took it off.
If you think it will work make me an offer.
Steve

Hi all,

Looking for a Grimes Strobe, 30-0504-1 for the 1960 Aztec. The tail strobe is burned out (looks to be the same as the belly strobe) and I'm hoping someone who has gone LED may have one sitting around.

Thanks! Chris
