Hi Chris, I'm new, so I just now saw your posting. Nice photo showing the underside (or topside, really) of the overhead console. My Twin Comanche has an overhead console for the lights also. Mine has the metal light tubes for the reading map lights like yours. The bulbs in mine have two contacts on the base and are white. Originally they were a GE #93 bulb. I don't like the white light at night as it bothers my night vision and is not dimmable. My solution is to change the bulbs to red LED's I bought from SuperBright LED's. I plan to install them this weekend. I bought two. One is forward shooting, and the other is 360 degrees. They are also of different lumens, so I will put the brighter one on the copilot's side for now and the other on my side. That way if the red light is much bright, it will be on the side I don't often use.
Clear Skies,
Gomer

Fixed it. I dropped the ceiling panel with removal of 15 screws.

I believe the solution is to hold the body of the lamp with soft tooth pliers and turn the lens off by unscrewing it.
Let me check with an interior guru I know.

Howdy,

So an odd question, anybody know how to change a passenger reading lightbulb? In my case it's a PA32/260 and one of the reading lights / swivel lights is burned out. From what I can tell looking at replacement assemblies and my own unit, there are no easily accessible screws to make the bulb come out. I tried turning the swivel end as well with no luck. This seems kind of stupid, but maybe somebody can help?

Picture attached with the light I'm trying to replace circled in red.
