It's not unusual for an engine on a light plane to be canted. If there's no can't designed in, sagging engine mount rubbers or improper engine to mount bolt torques can be a problem.
I don't know specifically where the PA 28-140 engine was canted from the factory

I’m doing my Annual and had some fiberglass work done on my lower forward cowl where the spinner has rubbed. While the plane was on jacks I noticed that the engine isn’t inline with the center of the fuselage It’ cantered to the right. The Lord mounts are 20 years old and look good from the parts that are visible. The engine frame shows no stress, bends or cracks. I’m changing out the Lord mounts, but has anyone ever noticed anything like this before? Does Piper canter there engines a little to the right? I can5 find anything, but I’ll try tech support. Thanks
