Glad you can use your current cable. Keep McFarlane in mind should you ever want a spare at hand. Have a great weekend.

Hey Dennis, if a cable is needed McFarlane does make custom cables. www.mcfarlaneaviation.com/products/categ...ains-flight-control/ You will have to reach out to them but they do have the capability of individual requests.

Hi Dennis,
Sorry it's take time to get back to you. I can't quite see what you have going at the attach point. One thing that comes to mind that might work as a solution is what's called a wire swivel. It's commonly used to connect the control wire to the carb heat arm on the airbox. The body of the swivel is put into a hole on the arm, then the control wire is put through the hole before tightening down the screw onto the control wire.

Aircraft Spruce sells these things for less than a dollar. The Aircraft Spruce part number is 06-01282. I've attached a picture.

The cable end to the cabin Air vent in my 65 Cherokee 180 keeps coming off. I don't think it is original as to how the end is attached to the door.
This is the vent that you control from the push-pull knob on the right side of the lower dash and open the vent door on the forward left of the cockpit by the pilot's feet. This vent also has a knob on it.

Any assistance/picture as to how this should be installed would be appreciated.
